Adding a Pop of Color for Summer with River Island
It can be so easy to stick with neutral colors when picking outfits. Trust me, I can relate. I’m a sucker for all things white in the summer and tend to wear it on repeat. With that being said, I find it so easy to venture out of my comfort zone with the huge selection of colorful pieces from River Island. The selection of vibrant dresses, tops, rompers and more is endless! Scrolling through their site has me wanting to wear colors I typically shy away from. Summer is the perfect opportunity to add a pop of color to your wardrobe and it’s so easy to do with River Island. For instance, this amazing $56 dress that comes in 12 colors is calling my name! It may or may not be in my cart right now! I love the tie detail on it and I feel like it would look amazing on so many body types!
Yellow is a tricky color for most people, but this gorgeous dress I’m styling today is anything but that. It’s so flattering on and paired with a bronze summer tan it’s truly stunning! I absolutely adore the little details of this dress that make it all come together. From the frills to the v neck ruched front, it’s impossible to not notice this dress! I also love how the floral detail is understated since it’s already such a bright dress. My dress also comes in a multi color stripe and green if yellow isn’t your thing. I would recommend sizing up with this particular brand – I’m wearing a UK 10 and the fit is spot on. For reference I’m typically a small or size 2 in dresses.
If color isn’t normally your thing, I encourage you to try it out – even if it’s just baby steps with a clutch or pair of fun earrings. For instance, I used to HATE wearing red and now it makes up a huge chunk of my wardrobe. One day I just decided to give it another shot and now I absolutely love wearing that color! I feel like as we get older it’s important to shake things up a bit and not stick to what we’ve always worn in the past. Change is good, and that includes your wardrobe choices!
