CHARLESTON TRAVEL GUIDE

A few weeks ago my girlfriends and I went to Charleston for a fun girls getaway! Jaclyn, Geordian, Yasmina and I all stayed at the Renaissance Charleston. I’m going to share more about the hotel, where we ate, and what we did for fun! I’ve also included links to all my outfits I wore during the trip so you can easily shop anything you like as you scroll through the post.

WHERE WE STAYED

The Renaissance Charleston was the cutest hotel! Not only were we greeted with popsicles but the modern decor was absolutely stunning and staff so friendly! The hotel is conveniently located off King street, which is FULL of shops, restaurants, bars, etc. It was the best location for our group and we found it so easy to walk to most of the places we wanted to go. We also enjoyed the free bikes the hotel offers for guests to ride and explore Charleston.

How gorgeous is the suite we stayed in? It was incredibly spacious and honestly didn’t feel like a hotel room. I loved the open floor plan and how there was a separate living room where we could all hang out. The hotel also has a gym and rooftop pool – we didn’t work out during our stay (shocker) but definitely hit up the pool! We felt right at home at the Renaissance and I highly recommend this hotel if you’re traveling to Charleston!

WHERE WE ATE

Millers All Day – Ahh we had the BEST brunch here! This restaurant came highly recommended so we had to check it out! The mimosas were great and the southern food was truly incredible! The biscuits and gravy are a MUST – thank me later!

1Kept – This restaurant is actually located inside the Renaissance Hotel and as you can see the decor here is on point too! We had both brunch and dinner here and I can’t recommend it enough! The brussel sprouts and chicken and waffles are a must! We also had the best cocktails here, definitely try the Sunday Punch!

Darling Oyster Bar – I loved the ambiance at this restaurant! I enjoyed rosé at their cute bar and highly recommend trying the oysters or many of their other great seafood options!

WHAT TO DO IN CHARLESTON

PRIVATE SAILING CHARTER – I’m so glad we decided to go on a private sailing charter with OM Sailing Charters! It was definitely the highlight of our trip in my opinion! It’s a great activity for a group of girls.. just laying out, enjoying cocktails and sailing around – need I say more? Captain Banff was incredibly accommodating to all our needs, let us take a million pictures and even helped us out with several group shots! During the sail you have the option to park and swim if you want which is really nice! It’s so hot/humid in Charleston that I feel like that is kind of necessary in the summer time. Our trip was 3 hours, but OM Sailing Charters also offers full day trips and event sunset tours! I’d love to go on a sunset tour the next time I visit.

Booking a Private Sailing Charter is a MUST when in Charleston and you can learn more about OM Sailing Charters on Trip Advisor !

RAINBOW ROW – If you do one touristy thing in Charleston, visiting Rainbow Row should be it! Known for it’s row of colorful historic houses, this spot is Instagram worthy and great for taking pictures! Rainbow Row is a very popular spot, good luck trying to get a snap with no one else in it!

North on King Street – This is where you’ll want to go for the bar scene in Charleston! We went to Republic on Friday night which is a club with really great dance music. On Saturday night we checked out Stars which had more of a laid back rooftop bar we loved! The first floor of Stars has a DJ and was crazy packed while we were there. I definitely recommend both spots for nightlife in Charleston!

My girls and I had a blast in Charleston and I can’t wait to visit again one day!

XOXO
