I’m so excited to finally share this post with you guys! I’m sure most of you remember that earlier this month I stayed at The Pointe in Rosemary Beach with a few of my blogger friends. This was my first time visiting this part of Florida and honestly I fell in LOVE with the area! The Pointe is a boutique, hotel-style resort in Rosemary Beach off 30A highway. Traveling from Dallas was super easy with a quick nonstop flight and 30 minute drive from Panama City Airport to our hotel. We rented a car for our trip since we heard Ubers can take forever for pickups. If you’re like us and too impatient to deal with that I highly recommend renting a car when visiting this area. ResortQuest is the exclusive rental management company that manages The Pointe property and you can book your next trip through their website.

I’m breaking down my trip below. More on where we stayed, what we did and where we ate !

Where we stayed: The Pointe by ResortQuest

We were all honestly blown away at how nice our room was. If you saw the tour on my insta story you know what I’m talking about! It honestly felt like we were in a luxury apartment versus a hotel, which we obviously enjoyed. There were a total of 3 bedrooms that were huge and all had spacious bathrooms. Our hotel had an open floor plan that made the living area and kitchen very comfortable and great for entertaining. It’s definitely not necessary to go out for all your meals when staying at The Pointe. We enjoyed breakfast and coffee in the comfort our place every morning. We also had a large dining table, fireplace and wrap around balcony patio which made it feel even more like a home away from home.

The Pointe is in the perfect location, walking distance to Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach and directly across the street from shops and restaurants at 30 Avenue. A short bike ride or walk will take you to the sugar-white sand and beautiful water of South Walton beaches.

The Pointe has a gorgeous resort style pool with cabanas and lounge chairs surrounding it. This area is perfect for relaxing all day. I love how convenient everything is, if you get hungry there’s Big Bad Breakfast next to the pool where you can order breakfast or lunch and then get back to laying out! I also appreciate the fact that The Pointe has an updated fitness center with a mirror virtual trainer and peloton bike! I don’t always work out on trips but when the gym is updated it definitely makes me more inclined to go.

What to do:

Beach Day – A beach day (or several) is a must in Rosemary Beach! The Pointe offers two complimentary chairs and umbrellas at the beach that is walking distance or a short bike ride away. We packed a cooler and had a picnic on the beach one day and it was SO nice. The beaches are stunning in this area so it’s also a great place to take pictures with the fam or your friends!

Explore – We took our jeep out and explored different parts of 30A. My favorite area was Alys Beach, where the most stunning homes are located and everything around is seriously picture perfect. It’s a great spot to take pictures or just walk around and admire the real estate.

There’s also a great area called The Hub that I recommend checking out. It’s a great outdoor space filled with a few restaurants, ice cream and snow cone shops! There’s also a stage and big screen where they have live music, host movie nights, etc! We had the best time here watching the Kentucky Derby on the big screen.

Pool Day – Start out with breakfast at Big Bad Breakfast and then post up in a poolside cabana at The Pointe until lunch time. I highly recommend trying George’s at Alys Beach for lunch. They have a super cute patio and the coconut curry chicken salad paired with a mimosa will win you over.

Where to eat:

La Crema Tapas & Chocolate – Definitely my favorite dinner of the trip! You have to try the cheese fondue, brussel sprouts, pasta Del Mar and chocolate fondue. Enjoy a sunset happy hour at The Pearl or Pescado first and then walk over to La Crema to end your night!

The Pearl – This hotel is GORGEOUS! I highly recommend going to take some pictures during sunset and having drinks at their rooftop bar, Havana.

Bud & Alleys Taco Bar – We spent Cinco de Mayo of all days at this cute taco spot! It was the perfect place to enjoy tacos and margaritas. Make sure to try the fish tacos!

Pescado – Absolutely loved our dinner here! This is another restaurant perfect for watching the sunset on the patio. The outdoor tables are open seating and indoor tables require a reservation. Plan ahead and make your reservations early because it stays packed!

Great Southern Cafe – We had a great dinner here and I loved the atmosphere and casual vibe of it. The menu offers the best southern style dishes and I promise you won’t leave on an empty stomach!
