Winter brings the cold weather and so many opportunities to be creative with layering. This is one of my favorite seasons just because I love piling on different pieces and finding new ways to bundle up in a stylish way. I say it’s one of my “favorite seasons” but let’s be real, I live in Texas and winter doesn’t exist here. I’m usually in shorts and a tank during the week of Christmas! It’s a love/hate relationship to say the least.
This particular outfit is one of my top layering picks for the colder weather. I love these leggings because the fit is incredible and they are very slimming. I’m picky about leggings because I personally like the material to be thick so you can’t see through them – you know what I’m saying. That could be disastrous! Every girl needs at least one good chambray shirt in their wardrobe. A classic shirt like this is great year round with jeans or even skirts for a 9-5 look.
If you don’t have a pair of brown over the knee boots it’s definitely time to invest in some! Boots this cognac color are amazing because they truly go with everything. I am a little obsessed with mixing brown and black – can you blame me? How cute do these boots look with black leggings?
My grey vest and coat are staples in my wardrobe. I constantly wear both during the colder months. The vest is sleeveless so it allows you to layer without looking bulky in the sleeves. My exact vest and coat are sold out, but be sure to check below for my similar picks!
